HELLO, IT HAS BEEN AWHILE.
We spent three weeks in Maine, which is THE LONGEST vacation we have ever taken and the longest the girls have been away from home (except for when Cleo and I ran away to Maine the first time). We had the absolute best time, but we are so happy to be back home and getting into our regular routine.
Highlights of the trip:
We got to see all the members of the long dog cult! It is ALWAYS the sweetest thing when we decide to meet on a beach and you can see the moment all the dogs realize they know each other; I get emotional every time.
We had the absolute pleasure of staying at 250 Main Hotel in Rockland for a few days. Our long dog cult president, Tam, has stayed at the hotel many times in the past, and his mother referred us. It was such a fun experience to see how Cleo and Abby handled being in social situations for extended periods.
We had MANY lobster rolls.
We met so many lovely locals and tourists alike who recognized Cleo and Abby. I don’t think I will ever fully grasp how many people love Cleo and Abby. It is honestly such a dream and a gift to be able to share them with others.
We went whale watching and didn’t see a single whale, which was rude.
We got these AMAZING shots of the girls at Abby’s favorite beach in Maine, courtesy of our friend Pond AKA Oswin’s mom.

TWO EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENTS THAT YOU CAN’T TELL ANYONE ELSE:
We got samples of our new merch last week, and they are ADORABLE! We will be launching our three new designs next week (October 1st). Here’s a little sneak peek of the new designs:
We may or may not have added a new addition to the family—SURPRISE! We have been going back and forth on getting a new dog for the past year. At first, we considered rescuing an older borzoi from the NBRF, but when we expressed interest in an adult female, we were warned that it can be difficult to assimilate a new female into a home with an existing adult female borzoi. Since Abby is very particular and we definitely wanted a girl, we decided that bringing a puppy home was the best option for us at this time. We also thought a puppy might bring some new energy to our house, with Cleo being five and Abby being eight. So far, Abby got excited for a second and is now trying to pretend this isn’t happening to her, and Cleo is honestly taking it the hardest. I don’t think she was ready to relinquish her “youngest sibling” title so soon. Here are some photos of Marceline (Marcy for short); she’s coming to us from Ivanhoe Borzoi, where her original name was Jandra:
Miss Marcy
I’m excited (and nervous) to see how the next week unfolds with the new addition. The timing of all of this has felt like A LOT, especially with getting back from Maine a week ago and with Abby going in tomorrow to have a little eyelid growth removed. Hopefully, all this stress isn’t too much for her; please send thoughts and souls her way.
Praise be 🙌
Omg. Come to bar harbor. I’d would squeeze Abby until she learned to love and accept that chaos isn’t the only way to live
Oh my goodness, how exciting! Congratulations! 😃 I know it seems like a lot happening at once but hopefully everything will go smoothly for you all. I can’t wait to see how the dynamics of your family will be changing and all the fun videos that we will get to see. Thank you so much for sharing your family with all of us. I’m going through a transition time and alone right now so watching your girls makes me so happy, and you are so funny! Looking forward to upcoming videos. ☺️
